Bill Number: SB 361 

Description: Initially an attempt to eliminate prevailing wage altogether, the final version requires reworking, and likely scaling back, prevailing wage for public construction projects that are $500,000 or more. For public construction projects under $500,000, the prevailing wage has been abolished, opening the door for out-of-state contractors to bring outside and illegal workers into West Virginia at taxpayer expense.
