Members of the media are invited to attend a critical meeting Sunday, when members of Teamsters Union Local 175 will vote on whether to accept or reject concessions demanded by The Beverage Market, a company that distributes brands such as Miller, Coors, Modelo, and Red Bull, among others.
If the offer is rejected, a strike is expected.
“The company’s offer is absolutely punitive,” said Luke Farley, attorney and lead negotiator for Teamsters 175. “This company makes plenty of money off the backs of hard-working employees, and has not asserted it is losing money, yet proposes to take rights, pay, and benefits away from those same employees.”
The Teamsters and The Beverage Market have been in contract negotiations for weeks. The company’s proposal will be explained to the approximately 50 affected employees during the meeting Sunday, prior to the vote.
WHAT: Teamsters Local 175 will take a vote on The Beverage Market’s concessionary proposals for a new contract.
WHEN: Sunday, May 3, 2026 at 9:30 a.m.
WHERE: Teamsters Local 175, 267 Staunton Ave, South Charleston, WV 25303
